El Dorado County German Shepherd Rescue (EDCGSR) is a non-profit corporation that provides refuge and makes ready for adoption, unwanted, abused, abandoned, or neglected German Shepherds or GSD mixes. German Shepherds that are unable to be placed by local animal control services are brought to our facility where they are fully vetted, rehabilitated, and socialized to become excellent companions in their new, forever homes.
In addition, EDCGSR educates the public regarding animal welfare and the importance of spay/neuter. The rescue reaches out to the public through scout troops, elementary and high school students, and local businesses by offering volunteer and community service programs.
